m/36 Field Hat

Type: m/36 Field Hat (Kenttälakki m/36)

Material: Mixed wool, rayon liner, burlap sweatband

Manufacturer: Unknown

Manufacturing year: ~1944

Markings: No markings

A well used m/36 Field Hat, late war manufacture. While the pattern is pretty much that of your average m/36 hat, the construction is hasty and the materials are of poor quality. The liner is most likely repurposed tunic liner and the sweatband is a simple burlap band. All in all, everything points to a very late manufacturing date.

The user of the hat is unknown as is the history of the hat. The badge on the side points toward the Armour Division. It is a well worn example of an enlisted man or of an NCO.

This hat belongs to the collection of Parola Armour Museum.
