This is a m/39 Fur Hat that has most likely been tailor made for the owner. The hat itself is essentially a regulation officer fur hat, with the exception of the fur being rabbit rather than sheep. Rabbit fur and the fancy liner would point towards this being a tailor made, fairly early hat. The artificial silk liner has been damaged over the years. The cockade isn't original to the hat but a later addition. This hat belongs to the collection of Parola Armour Museum. |
